russia para-archery_world_ranking_event_20-03-12March 20 - Russia and Thailand claimed the main honours at the Para-Archery World Ranking event which took place in Bangkok.

The event ran saw Russia claim nine medals and Thailand seven.

Russia's Stepanida Artakhinova and Alexey Shcherbakov won gold in the men and women's compound open respectively, with compatriots Olga Plegaeva and Mikhail Diktovannyy taking bronze in each competition.

Timur Tuchinov and Sergey Khutakov took gold and silver in the men's recurve to add to Russia's domination, with Raliya Galikeeva taking silver in the women's.

Artakhinova, Plegaeva and Diktovannyy are all now awaiting confirmation of their places at this summer's London Paralympics by the Russian Paralympic Committee.

Thailand had plenty to cheer as they dominated the team events.

Their men's team claimed the recurve crown, while the hosts also took gold in the mixed team recurve and compound opens.

Malaysia were third in the team standings after claiming four medals during the event.
