105236032February 18 - China completed a clean-sweep at the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) World Tour Kuwait Open, but Singaporean Feng Tianwei stole the spotlight after defeating world champion and top seed, Ding Ning of China, in the women's semi-finals.

Feng, who was defeated in the first round of last year's tournament, upset London 2012 silver medallist Ding to win 11-8, 5-11, 5-11, 12-10, 11-9, 8-11, 11-3.

The 26-year-old, who gained Singaporean citizenship in 2008 after moving from her native China in 2007 under the Singapore Foreign Sports Talent Scheme, fell at the final hurdle despite her impressive performance, losing out to Liu Shiwen of China by four sets to two in the final.

In the men's singles, China's reigning Olympic and world champion Zhang Jike came from a set down to defeat his compatriot Ma Long 6-11, 11-8, 11-6, 11-8, 11-4 in the final.
