PyeongChang 2018March 2 - A team from the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) have met with Pyeongchang 2018 to conduct the first Project Review for the Winter Games.

A delegation, led by chief executive Xavier Gonzalez, Paralympic Games Integration director Thanos Kostopoulos and commercial and marketing director Alexis Schaefer, met with a group from Pyeongchang 2018 led by President and chief executive Kim Jin-sun and vice-president and secretary general Dong Hoo Moon.

The review examined observations from London 2012, the Organising Committee structure, the Games Foundation Plan, sport, accessibility, venues and infrastructure, marketing, broadcasting and communications.

"It is exciting to see how much the preparations for the Pyeongchang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games have come along in the past year," said Gonzalez. 

"We've had very productive and open discussions and are very pleased with the quality of the organising committee team.

"We look forward to working together towards a very successful Paralympic Winter Games in 2018"

The Pyeongchang 2018 Paralympics are due take place from March 9 until 18.
