Liebherr will be entitled to major sponsorship of the 2014 and 2015 World Table Tennis Championships and the 2015 World Team Classic, as well as title sponsorship at the 2014 & 2015 Individual Men's World Cup.

"Table tennis enjoys a highly acceptable image and is therefore an ideal publicity medium for Liebherr; we support this clean sport as part of our social responsibility."

Liebherr is also a major sponsor for this month's World Team Classic in the Chinese city of Guangzhou, as well as the upcoming World Championships, which are to be held in Paris this May.

"Liebherr has been a perfect sponsor for the ITTF over the past 10 years", said ITTF President Adham Sharara.

"They have supported our events tremendously and I am very happy that this partnership will be continued until at least 2015 and five additional events."

The partnership between Liebherr and the ITTF began at the World Championships in 2003, and the Swiss-based company also sponsor a team, defending European champions TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen Table Tennis Club.
