Josef CraigMarch 27 - The British Paralympic Association (BPA) has team up with British Swimming to offer people an opportunity to watch world-class disability swimming as part of the Sports Fest in Sheffield next month.

The second Sports Fest in Sheffield is due to take place at the English Institute of Sport on April 26 and 27 at the same time as the 2013 British International Disability Swimming Championships take place in the city at nearby Pond's Forge.

The Championships will take place between April 25 and 28 where London 2012 champions such as Ellie Simmonds, Josef Craig (pictured top) and Jessica-Jane Applegate will be in attendance.

The two-day Sports Fest in Sheffield will offer the opportunity for disabled people to try out different sports, meet Paralympians and explore how they can get involved in sport.

But now, as a result of the collaboration between the BPA and British Swimming, those who attend will also have the chance to watch the Championships on the evening of April 27.

"This is such exciting news, I was already looking forward to competing in Sheffield but the additional support will be great for us," said Craig.

"I think the ParalympicsGB Sports Fest is fantastic as it is a great opportunity for disabled people who have been inspired by London to find out more about all the different sports that they might be interested in and hopefully those who attend the Sports Fest can also come along to support me and other swimmers in the evening.

"The Paralympic Games last year were brilliant because people really got behind us so I'd really encourage people to come along to both events to support disability sport."
