Marcos Lorenzo in front of World Archery signMarch 13 - World Archery has appointed Marcos Lorenzo as its new communications manager, they have announced. 


The Spaniard, who was born in Geneva, has worked in event and communication management for ten years, including at the International Volleyball Federation and the International Fencing Federation.

He has also worked in football, for both UEFA and La Liga club Real Club Deportivo La Coruña. 

Lorenzo has degrees in sport and project management, as well as commerce and tourism, and can speak English, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. 

He will work closely with Didier Mieville, World Archery's communication and marketing director, and Tom Dielen, the secretary general. 

Among this tasks will be devise a new communication strategy and to oversee the day-to-day running of the World Archery website.

Lorenzo will be based at the World Archery's headquartes in Lausanne.
