Yuvraj Raninder SinghApril 6 - Yuvraj Raninder Singh has been re-elected as President of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) for a second four-year term.


Singh, the son of Captain Amarinder Singh, the former Chief Minister of Punjab, had first been elected President of the NRAI in December 2010 when he defeated Shyam Singh Yadav.

The 46-year-old Singh, who represents Punjab in NRAI's governing body, is a trap shooter and has also participated in international World Cup events and National Championships.

The Buckingham University graudate, who was unopposed in this election, got an overwhelming support from across the country getting 517 votes out of 843.

The vice-presidents elected were Ajay Patel from Gujarat, Deep Bhatia from Haryana, Putuul Kumari from Bihar, MS Rana from Uttarakhand and Kalikesh Kumar from Odisha.

Tamil Nadu's DVS Rao was appointed secretary general while Jagmeet Singh Sethi and Darius Chennai were elected as joint secretaries.

Sanjay Behl was appointed treasurer.
