FIG is investigating “irregularities” at one of its men’s artistic gymnastics international judges’ courses August 24 - The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has launched disciplinary proceedings after alleged "irregularities" at one of its men's artistic gymnastics international judges' courses earlier this year.

This latest action, against a course which took place in Bucharest on February 11 until 15 this year, comes after a series of similar incidents in the sport - in both the artistic and rhythmic disciplines, which have led to rulings against a number of judges and have even seen two senior officials stripped of their FIG membership.

FIG has appointed a Disciplinary Commission - Andreas Zagklis of Greece, Paul Engelmann of Switzerland and chair New Zealand's Michelle Duncan - to investigate the matter, "clarify events" and confirm whether there is any evidence to prove the allegations of cheating.

FIG was unavailable for comment at the time of writing.
