August 27 - A storm is forecasted to make the waters in Chungju unsuitable for competitionA storm forecast in Chungju on Thursday (August 29) has forced organisers of the International Rowing Federation (FISA) World Championships to bring the five Para-rowing finals forward by 24 hours and they will now take place tomorrow.

The AS women's single sculls is the first of those finals and is expected to see the battle for gold take place between World Championship debutants Natalia Bolshakova of Russia and Norway's Birgit Skarstein, who have impressed so far in their heats, while Paralympic and world champion Alla Lysenko of Ukraine will be keen to bag another gold despite having to go through the repechage to get to the final.

Next up on the water will be the AS men's single sculls and, like Lysenko in the women's competition, Britain's defending champion Tom Aggar had to take the repechage route to the final where he will face stiff competition from London 2012 silver and bronze medallists Eric Horrie of Australia and Russia's Alexey Chuvashev, who edged out the Londoner in their heat.

There will also be British medal hopes in the LTA mixed coxed four where the reigning Paralympic champions will be looking to add the World Championship crown to their collection despite major changes to the London 2012 crew which sees Naomi Riches as the only member of the crew that competed at Eton Dorney.

French pair Perle Bouge and Stephane Tardieu were the fastest in the heats of the TA mixed double sculls and will start as favourites in the final, where they will be strongly challenged by Robert Jones and Oksana Masters of the United States and Australia's Kathryn Ross and Gavin Bellis.

The Ukrainian duo of Kateryna Morozova and Dmytro Aleksieiev were the outstanding pair in the LTA mixed double sculls preliminary race, which is making its debut at the World Championships, and they are expected to be the team to beat in the final of the event.
