Virginia Beach Convention Centre will host the January 2014 North American CupSeptember 18 - USA Fencing has named Virginia Beach as the host city of January's 2014 North American Cup, while the Junior Olympic Fencing Championships next year will be held in Portland.

The North American Cup is due to take place over the Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend of January 17 until 20 at the Virginia Beach Convention Centre, which will host Division I, Junior, Wheelchair and Senior events.

The city is no stranger to hosting fencing events, with the November 2012 North American Cup, the 2012 Division I and Wheelchair National Championships all taking place in Virginia Beach.

The 2014 Junior Olympic Fencing Championships is due to be held over Presidents' Day weekend, February 14 until 17, at the Portland Convention Centre, where the top junior and cadet fencers in the USA will get their final chance to battle it out for a berth at the 2014 Junior and Cadet World Championships.
