The Italians Francesca Lollobrigida, Francesca Bettrone and Giulia Lollobrigida took the bronze medal ahead of Norway.

In the men's event Joo Hyong Jun, Kim Cheol Min and Ko Byung Wook were imperious across the ice as they registered a time of 3:48.81 to see off the challenge of Russia by almost nine seconds.

Meanwhile, inside the Ice Rink Stadium, the finalists for tomorrow's men's and women's curling finals were decided with Great Britain overcoming Canada 7-4 with an assured display, while Sweden also looked in good shape as they came out on top of their Scandinavian derby with Norway on a scoreline of 6-3.

Earlier, a very strong Russian outfit proved too strong for the British team in their semi-final to set up a clash with the other semi-final victors South Korea.
