The delegates from all the competing Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) will be taken through the Glasgow 2014 Games experience from the athletes' perspective, from arrival and preparation through to competition and Ceremonies to check out and final travel arrangements.

They will also receive information on the services that will be delivered to their athletes at Games time such as their accommodation at the Athletes' Village, facilities for training and competition, transport, medal ceremonies participation and Festival 2014 - the Games Cultural Programme.

"It is with great pleasure and excitement that we welcome the heads of all 70 Commonwealth Games national teams, the Chefs de Mission, to Glasgow for the final preparatory seminar before the Games," said Glasgow 2014 chief executive David Grevemberg.

"This is an ideal time for Glasgow 2014 and its partners to showcase the venues now in situ and the plans for Games time, both critical for ensuring teams are ready to support the delivery of an athlete-centred, sport-focused Commonwealth Games.

"We remain confident in our delivery and look forward to a week of successful meetings."

The attending Chefs de Mission will begin their visit with a Civic Reception hosted by Lord Provost Sadie Docherty at the Glasgow City Chambers.

The delegates will also visit Glasgow 2014 venues, including the Emirates Arena, the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome and Hampden Park as well as the Athletes' Village.

"The seminar this week is a great chance for the Chefs de Mission to ask any last minute questions they have and to meet face to face with the team from the Glasgow 2014 Organising Committee," said Jon Doig, Chef de Mission for Team Scotland.

"I think the Chefs de Mission will enjoy the interactive nature of the week and the many venues which will be covered.

"Hampden in particular will be of real interest with the transformation and the new track installation as will the Athletes' Village."
