February 13 - Events International will provide corporate hospitality at Glasgow 2014 venues including the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome ©Glasgow 2014Events International will be responsible for providing corporate hospitality packages at this year's Commonwealth Games, Glasgow 2014 has announced.

The Hereford-based firm has been named as the official corporate hospitality sales agent for Glasgow 2014 and will provide corporate packages for businesses and guests at the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, as well as a range of sports events including athletics, rugby sevens, swimming, track cycling, gymnastics, judo, boxing and netball.

Prices for corporate hospitality packages - which make up less than one per cent of overall Games tickets - will range from £249 ($414/€303) to £575 ($957/€700) with organisers claiming that the packages will create an opportunity to showcase the best of Scotland's larder as outlined in the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Food Charter.

Corporate hospitality tickets are not part of the public allocation for Glasgow 2014 with organisers revealing around 95 per cent of public tickets have now been sold for the Games which run from July 23 to August 3.

"Excitement is building for a home-grown sporting summer like no other in Scotland's history, with an unprecedented demand from people to be a part of Glasgow 2014 and the majority of Games tickets already sold to the people of Glasgow and Scotland," said Glasgow 2014 deputy chief executive Ty Speer.

"This next step in our ticketing journey is to invite businesses and their guests to join us at what will be a truly once-in-a-lifetime event through our corporate hospitality programme.

"We are pleased to be working with Events International to deliver an excellent opportunity to corporate clients and to continue Glasgow 2014's success story."

Events International has been operating since 1985 and is currently the official hospitality supplier to the Cheltenham National Hunt Festival, Royal Ascot and the Formula One British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
