April 3 - Infostrada Sports will deliver all biographies and historical data at its third consecutive Asian Games after an agreement was announced with Incheon 2014 today.
Following successful work at both the Doha 2006 and Guangzhou 2010 Games, the full service sport and media company Infostrada have been selected again by Ssangyong Information and Communications Corp (SICC) to provide all background content for the information system in Incheon.
The system will follow in the tradition of other systems and be the main source of background and reference information for the 10,000 broadcast and print media who are expected to cover the Games.
The system will also be used by National Olympic Committees, International Federations, the Olympic Council of Asia and the Organising Committee itself.
This is set to continue Infostrada Sports' rich tradition of covering international sporting events, which have included the Athens 2004 Olympics, the Manchester 2002, Delhi 2010 and Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, as well as the Rio 2007 Pan American Games.
"For high quality media content, Infostrada Sports is the choice of champions," said Infostrada Sports chief executive Danny Menken.
"We have set a standard which is hard to match or to beat, with a state of the art database that collects, collates and publishes data across a wide range of sports.
"We deliver to the premium events on the sporting calendar, and consistently show that we have the skills, expertise and experience to deliver first class content."
SICC project manager for 2014 Incheon Asian Games Hyeon Cheol Park was similarly pleased with the partnership when expressing his "delight to work with Infostrada Sports once again."
"As the project's Games information system integrator we are confident that Infostrada Sports will provide excellent service as always," he added.
"Their dedication and expertise will no doubt contribute in making this Asian Games one of the best Asian Games ever."
