Hundreds of volunteers have already signed up for the Winter European Youth Olympic Festival, including many at the Spring Fair ©EYOF 2015April 9 - Youngsters getting behind the Winter European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) have been signing up volunteers at a Spring Fair in Austria

The street team for the Festival in January next year were in Dornbirn to promote it.

It will be held in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg, which Dornbirn is in, and Liechtenstein.

Visitors to the Spring Fair were able to take a look at a social media box brought along by the street team inside their branded trailer.

People could have a souvenir photo taken which would immediately appear on the EYOF Facebook page.

"The interest is great," said EYOF chief executive Philipp Groborsch.

"We have so far more than 700 volunteers on board and this represents more than half of the required number."

The EYOF street team will next be at a football derby between Vorarlberg teams Lustenau and Altach on May 9.

The Festival, which has the motto "Rock the Alps", is the biggest youth sports event in Europe and is due to take place from January 25 to 30.

The 2015 Summer EYOF will take place in Tbilisi, Georgia.
