Two more powerlifters have been suspended after failing doping tests ay April's World Championships ©Getty ImagesTwo powerlifters have been suspended after failing doping tests at the World Championships in Dubai, bringing to four the number of athletes who have been outed as cheating at the competition.

Rashed Hassan Ahmed of the Unietd Arab Emirates tested positive for dehydrochloromethyl-testosterone and its metabolites in a urine sample given on April 10.

The sample was taken after he finished 14th of 20 powerlifters in the under 97 kilogram class at the International Paralympic Committee (IPC)Powerlifting World Championships.

Ahmed has been banned from competition for two years from April 10, and fined €1,500 (£1,190/$2,039).

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) lists the stimulant under the category of exogenous anabolic androgenic steroids

Kazakhstan's Oleg Gridassov tested positive after placing eighth out of 27 powerlifters in the under 80kg competition.

He was found to have dehydrochloromethyl-testosterone and its metabolites in a urine sample given on April 8.

It is listed under the same WADA category and Gridassov has also been banned from competition for two years and fined €1,500.

All results from the date of the test and onwards will be stripped for both athletes, with any medals, points, records and prizes being forfeited.

The latest bans follow a troubled month for the sport.

Iran's London 2012 silver medal winner Roohallah Rostami also failed a doping test during the World Championships, in which he won a silver in the under 72kg division.

He returned an adverse analytical finding for the banned stimulant Methylhexaneamine and was banned for two years and handed a €1,500 fine.

Also this month, the IPC announced Russia's Ilfat Mukhatarov had failed a drugs test during the World Championships, while Colombia's Ivan Palacios did so during the 2014 Para South American Games in the Chilean capital Santiago in March.

And yesterday it was reported Indian powerlifter Sachin Choudhary has been sent home from the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games after a failed doping test.
