Leo-Pekka Tahti of Finland and Marc Schuh of Germany will go head-to-head in the 100 metres, 200m, and 400m races in Swansea, Great Britain.

Tahti got the better of Schuh in the 100m at last month's IPC Athletics Grand Prix in the German capital Berlin, clocking 14.38secs to take gold ahead of Schuh, who finished in a time of 14.65.

But Schuh has said the other two races in Swansea will be more to his liking.

"I'm a 200m and 400m specialist - on the 400m I have the European record, and on the 200m Leo and myself have the exact equal time," he said.

"Kenny Van Weeghel is a little in front, but me and Leo will be fighting until the finish line."

Tahti, a four-time Paralympic champion who is the world record holder in the 100m T54, said: "I'm getting better and better.

"I've had an improvement in my acceleration at the start, so I think I'm in the right place ahead of Swansea.

"There are some races next in Finland, and then I'll try to put more focus on my training ahead of the European Championships.

"I'll probably try to compete in England before Swansea, and after that I'll be ready."

The Finn has won T54 100m gold at the last three Paralympic Games, and added the 200m title to his collection at Athens 2004.

Tahti and Schuh are two of 560 athletes from 39 countries who will compete in Swansea from August 18 to 23.
