The Russian Olympic Committee is encouraging people to get more physically active through with launch of online campaign ©ROCThe Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) has launched a new online campaign called Sport for All aiming to make regular exercise a part of everyday life.

Developers of the programme, claim that it is not only necessary to explain the benefits of regular exercise and an active lifestyle, but also to show that taking part sport is easy and accessible for everyone.

Users can perform a quick check of their fitness levels in the areas of strength, agility, flexibility and endurance.

After the test, individuals can pledge to take a serious step towards becoming more physically active by taking morning exercises or building up to five or 10 kilometre runs - or even a marathon.

Users can also test their knowledge and learn new things by taking part in an interactive quiz and be in with a chance of receiving prize from the ROC, while individuals are being encouraged to post images and updates of their progress on social network sites.

The new initiative was launched at Victory Park in Moscow, where a three-day  ROC Physical Culture and Sports Forum took place.

Participants are being invited to sign up for the online campaign.
