The British duo, going for their sixth consecutive title, followed up their first win of the event yesterday by taking victory in today's run to leapfrog overnight leaders Marco Gualandris and Marta Zanetti of Italy, who finished eighth to leave them second in the overall standings.

The Australian team of Daniel Fitzgibbon and Liesl Tesch sit in third after five races.

The light winds at the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron also saw only one race take place in the Sonar and 2.4mR classes.

Canadians Paul Tingley, Scott Lutes and Logan Campbell maintained their lead in the Sonar category as fifth place was enough to see them remain in front.

The French crew of defending champions Bruno Jourdren, Eric Flageul and Nicolas Vimont-Vicary moved up to second overall as they finished behind Norway's London 2012 bronze medal winners Aleksander Wang Hansen, Marie Solberg and Per Eugen Kristiansen in today's race.

Britain's John Robertson, Hannah Stodel and Stephen Thomas sit third overall as they managed a fifth place finish today.

Meanwhile, in the 49-fleet 2.4mR, Matthew Bugg of Australia rocketed up the leaderboard as he grabbed an unexpected win but still remains well off the pace of the leaders.

German Heiko Kroeger returned to the top of the standings as he sailed his way to third today.

A disappointing showing from overnight leader and Paralympic champion Helena Lucas of Britain saw her finish in eighth to drop down to fourth overall behind compatriot Megan Pascoe.

Pascoe sits in third place after finishing behind Bugg, while a fifth from Frenchman Damien Seguin has him leading the chasing pack behind Kroeger.
