Stanislav Chokhlaev and guide Evgenii Fatkhullin maintained their 100 per cent record of podium finishes by claiming victory in the men's visually impaired race over 7.5 kilometres in 21min 09.8sec.

Despite dropping two shots, the pair, who also won the 10km cross country race on Saturday (December 13), held off teammates and clean shooters Nikolay Polukhin and guide Andrey Tokarev, who finished second in 21:31.5.

Third place was taken by Ukraine's Iaroslav Reshetynskiy and guide Artur Gergardt in 21:44.0.

Ivan Golubkov dropped one shot but still had enough to win the men's sitting sprint race in 22:40.3, completing a hat-trick of wins after success in the 10km cross country race on Saturday and cross country sprint on Sunday (December 14).

Team-mate Aleksandr Davidovich and Germany's Martin Fleig finished in second and third respectively, with times of 23:20.4 and 23:46.8, having both also dropped one shot each.

Clean shooting helped Russia's Marta Zaynullina claim her second women's sitting 6km biathlon sprint victory in the space of six days, clocking a time of 21:27.3.

After winning the sprint last Wednesday (December 10), the 24-year-old has now won four out of five races so far in Vuokatti.

The United States' Oksana Masters, winner of the cross country sprint on Sunday (December 14), and Germany's Anja Wicker both shot clean to finish in second and third with times of 21:48.2 and 22:27.1 respectively.

The only non-Russian winner of the day was Ukraine's Oksana Shyshkova and guide Lada Nesterenko in the women's visually impaired race, an event which also saw one of her team-mates make the podium.

Thanks to not dropping a shot, the pair secured their third win out of five races at the World Cup in 20:00.8.

Russia's Iuliia Budaleeva and guide Tatiana Maltseva came second in 20:04.4, while Ukraine's Olga Prylutska and guide Borys Babar finished third in 21:32.9.

More than 100 athletes from 12 countries are in Vuokatti for what is the first World Cup event of the 2014-2015 season.

Competition is set to conclude tomorrow with the men's and women's biathlon sprint races for standing skiers.

In just over one month's time, all eyes will be on Cable, the US, when it stages the IPC Nordic Skiing World Championships between January 23 and February 1.
