August 10 - Pyeongchang today launched its new website to help its campaign to host the 2018 Olympics and Paralympics.

The new website, which is at www.pyeongchang2018.org, is accessible in Korean, English and French and features the new bid campaign slogan "New Horizons".

It communicates Pyeongchang’s unique vision for hosting the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games - highlighting how the Winter Games in Korea will help to grow interest in winter sports internationally and connect the Olympic Movement with millions of young people across Asia, Korean officials claimed.

Yang Ho Cho, the chairman and chief executive of Pyeongchang 2018, said: "As we build momentum through the Candidate City phase of the bid campaign, we want to share our vision and show PyeongChang’s commitment, dedication and passion for hosting great Olympic Winter Games in 2018.

"We are pleased to launch our new website today and to showcase our New Horizons campaign theme, which we will bring to life in the months ahead, as we seek to demonstrate how this bid offers exciting new opportunities for Olympic winter sports across our region and amongst the next generation."
