Baku 2015 has released its official mobile application, providing all the latest news and up-to-date information on the inaugural European Games, as well as offering full social media interactivity.

The new app, available in both English and Azerbaijani, allows users to watch all Baku 2015 competitions live and gives them access to extensive information on venues, sports, and the 6,000 athletes who will take part in the European Games.

The app also contains a user-friendly schedule for the 17 days of competition, due to take place from June 12 to 28. 

"Big in Baku", the website showcasing the best of the European Games’ host city, will feature as a dedicated social media section in the app.

The section, accessible by clicking here, compiles the highlights of each day’s social media activity into one place, giving an insight into the worlds of the athletes and spectators on their adventures through the European Games.

Baku 2015 is set to feature 20 sports - 16 Olympic and four non-Olympic - with a total of 12 offering qualification opportunities for Rio 2016.

The dozen sports comprise archery, athletics, boxing, cycling, judo, shooting, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, triathlon, volleyball and wrestling.
