The Franco-Japanese pairing were winners of three of the four Grand Slam doubles titles together in 2014, when Houdet became the first men's wheelchair player to complete a calendar Grand Slam of doubles titles.

They were also Australian Open men's doubles champions for the third time in January.

Competition will be provided by the likes of Britain's Gordon Reid, winner of his first Grand Slam title at Roland Garros this year when partnering Kunieda, who will team-up with France's Michael Jeremiasz, a three-time former doubles champion at Wimbledon.

Jeremisaz' compatriot Nicolas Peifer and Argentina's Gustavo Fernandez and make their debut as a partnership after finishing runners-up at Roland Garros for the last two years, while another Frenchman in Joachim Gerard pairs up with world number one junior Alfie Hewett in what will mark Hewett's Grand Slam debut.

Defending champions also lead the entries in the corresponding women's event, with Japan's Yui Kamiji and Britain's Jordanne Whiley, who won the calendar year Grand Slam in women's doubles in 2014, among the entries.

Two-time former champions Jiske Griffioen and Aniek van Koot of The Netherlands, who also completed the calendar year Grand Slam of women's doubles titles in 2013, have played Kamiji and Whiley in each of the last five Grand Slam Finals, and arrive fresh from victory on the clay at Roland Garros.

Britain's Lucy Shuker, a three-time runner-up at Wimbledon, revives a partnership which brought her third place last year with Germany's Sabine Ellerbrock, while Grand Slam debutant Louise Hunt and Katharina Kruger were awarded a wildcard spot to form a second Anglo-German team.

Action is due to take place in the UINQLO Wheelchair Tour event on July 10 to 12.

A total of £64,000 ($101,000/€90,000) in prize money is on offer .
