The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has announced that all 124 games at this year's Women's Softball World Championship will be streamed live online.

Action on the main diamond in Surrey in Canada will feature play-by-play commentary as well as video-on-demand playback, with a multi-camera system utilised.

Fields two to four, meanwhile, will use just one camera.

The news means that more games will be streamed at Surrey 2016 than at any other global softball event in history.

To access the content, fans must subscribe for $19.95 (£15/€18) with the action available at worldsoftball.tv.

Live play-by-play will also be available online for the entirety of the tournament.

Thirty-one countries will take part in Surrey in all, with action taking place between July 15 and 24.

Japan will be looking to secure a third consecutive title, while the United States, who have won nine world titles, will also be expected to challenge.

The Americans were beaten by Japan in the last two finals.

Hosts Canada should also be strong after their gold medal win at the 2015 Pan American Games on home soil in Toronto.

Matches will be played at the Softball City venue.
