The International Boxing Association (AIBA) has revealed that all 11 Russian boxers it approved for Rio 2016 have been given the green light to compete by the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) three-person panel.

This is the first word from an International Federation (IF) on the IOC's final decision on the eligibility of Russian athletes, which was expected today.

The IOC left it up to the IFs to rule on who from Russia could compete following the country's doping scandal, with the three-man panel then needing to provide the final rubber-stamp.

"In accordance with the decision of the IOC Executive Bureau (EB) of July 24 AIBA has carried out an individual analysis of the anti-doping record of each of the 11 Russian boxers qualified for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and submitted its recommendation on their eligibility to the IOC based on the criteria outlined in the IOC EB decision," an AIBA statement said.

"That process is now complete and confirmation has been received from the IOC Review Panel that 11 Russian boxers are eligible to compete at Rio 2016."

Other IFs to have followed suit include sailing, equestrian and judo.

Juan Antonio Samaranch, Ugur Erdener and Claudia Bokel are the members of the panel.
