Winter Olympian James Woods has toured England as part of the "30 Days of Snowsport" initiative.

The ongoing scheme, spearheaded by Snowsport England, has resulted in hundreds of people trying skiing and snowboarding for the first time.

In all, 25 dedicated events will be held at 19 different slopes and facilities in the country, with at least 70 free or discounted taster and recreational sessions running throughout the campaign.

Open days, races, competitions and freestyle events are part of the fun, with the scheme also targeting existing skiers and snowboarders who may need to get their "ski legs" back.

Freestyle skier Woods competed at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics where he finished fifth in the men's slopestyle while suffering with a hip injury.

Woods also won a slopestyle silver medal at the International Ski Federation (FIS) World Championships in Voss in Norway in 2013, and he was the gold medallist at the first World Cup event of the 2015-16 season, in Cardrona in New Zealand.

The 24-year-old travelled around England along with other international freeskiers.
