The 2016-2017 Indoor Archery World Cup is set to get underway this weekend in Moroccan city Marrakesh.

Marrakesh plays host to the first stage of the World Cup which takes place across four cities and culminates in the final stage held in Las Vegas in the United States between February 10-12, 2017..

The circuit visits Bangkok in Thailand between December 10-11 for the second stage before heading to Nimes in France for the European leg between January 20-22, 2017.

The first stop in North Africa is the only leg of the circuit that will be held not in a permanent indoor facility, but in a temporary tent.

Athletes will be attempting to collect as many ranking points as possible, which they can earn through their final position at each stage.

The top 16 highest-ranked archers on points over the four stages will then compete in the Indoor Archery World Cup Final, held in the evening of the second day of the final event in Las Vegas.
