The defending champions were in commanding form once again as they comfortably beat The Netherlands 72-55 to book their place in the tournament's showpiece encounter on Friday (June 30).

Britain, who thrashed Poland in their quarter-final, will be confident of retaining their crown and continuing their build-up to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games with another continental gold medal.

Standing in their way of further European glory will be Turkey, who squeezed through to the final with a narrow win over Germany.

The Turkish side have looked impressive throughout the tournament but were made to work hard for their victory before they eventually secured progression with a 68-64 triumph.

Germany and The Netherlands will do battle for bronze on Friday.

In the women's tournament, the men's result between the Netherlands and Britain was reversed as the Dutch got the better of their opponents with a 59-42 success.

The Dutch women have a strong record European Championships having reached the gold medal contest at each event since 1989 and their victory against Britain continued that trend, ending British hopes of taking home both titles from the event in Tenerife.

Germany, whose men's team also fell short at the semi-final stage, await for the Dutch in the final as they beat France 46-33.

Britain and France have the chance to end the tournament on a positive note as they will clash for bronze.

Matches are being played at the Pabellón Las Torres and Pabellón Polideportivo Municipal de Adeje venues.
