Sweden’s Tomas Burvall finished top of the overall open standings as action concluded today at the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) World Freestyle and Overall Championships in Basingstoke.

Burvall ended with a total of 317.5 points after the final day of competition at the Down Grange Sports Complex.

The United States’ Conrad Damon and Burvall’s fellow Swede Anton Kappling shared second place with 297.5.

Jonas Karlsson, also of Sweden, came fourth with 288.

American Juliana Korver topped the overall women's rankings with 342.

Sweden’s Niloofar Mossavarrahmani was the runner-up with 339.5, followed by Chinese Taipei's I Chi Lin with 324.5.

Basingstoke was chosen to stage the event ahead of other "very strong bids" from the European, North American and Asian regions, according to the WFDF.

This year’s event in the English town was the 13th edition of the WFDF Overall Championships.
