France’s Gregory Gaultier has equalled his country’s national record for months on top of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) men’s world rankings.

The 34-year-old was confirmed today as being in first position for a 14th month, the same amount of time Thierry Lincou managed in his career.

Gaultier has now topped the list for a third consecutive month and is joint-10th in the longest reigns as world number one, alongside Lincou and Canadian Jonathon Power.

The rest of the top 20 remains unchanged, with Egyptian duo Karim Abdel Gawad and Mohamed Elshorbagy sitting in second and third respectively.

In the women’s PSA rankings, also released today, Nour El Sherbini of Egypt has kept her place as number one for a 16th-straight month.

Her reign now matches the time spent at the top by Australia’s Rachael Grinham and Cassie Jackman of England.

Just like the men’s rankings, the women’s top 20 has remained unchanged.

Egypt’s Raneem El Welily occupies second place and French player Camille Serme is third.
