The 16 men’s and 16 women’s university teams are due to compete in Xiamen in China between September 14 and 17.

After the final continental qualifying tournament in Oceania saw Australia's Macquarie University and Monash University qualify for the men's and women’s tournaments respectively, the list of teams has now been completed.

Both the men’s and women’s defending champions will be in China to defend their titles.

McGill University from Canada will be aiming to win a third men's title in a row while the Lithuanian Sport University are the reigning women's champions.

The 32 teams represent 22 countries, with seven teams qualifying for their maiden World 3x3 University League finals. 

As well as the reigning champions the men's draw also includes France's University Bordeaux, China's Huaqiao University, Lincoln University of New Zealand, Macquarie University of Australia, Senegal's Institut Superieur D'entrepreneurship et de Gestion, Makerere University in Uganda and the Mon-Altius Physical Education Institute in Mongolia.

Pelita Harapan University in Indonesia, UNLaM in Argentina, Universidad de Chile, Serbia's University of Kragujevac, the Saint-Petersburg State University of Technology and Design in Russia, Iran's Payame Noor University, Thailand's Srinakharinwirot University and Taylor's University in Malaysia complete the men's line-up.

The Lithuanian Sport University are joined by the University of Regina in Canada, the Xiamen University of Technology in China, New Zealand's Lincoln University, Monash University in Australia, Senegal's Institut Superieur D'entrepreneurship et de Gestion, the Uganda Christian University, the Chinese Culture University in Chinese Taipei in the women's event.

They will be joined by China's Peking University, UNLaM in Argentina, Chile's Universidad Católica, the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in Ukraine, the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, Takushoku University in Japan, Universidade do Porto in Portugal and Hungary's University of Physical Education.
