Seema's haul included a gold and silver as India enjoyed six podium finishes on the fifth day of action.

It followed further success earlier in the competition with India winning 10 medals on September 6 and Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games gold medallist Sathish Sivalingam claiming gold yesterday.

She claimed a silver medal in the senior women's 75 kilograms category by lifting 202kg overall.

This included 91kg in the snatch and 111kg in the clean and jerk phase, with her overall score proving good enough to claim gold in the junior women's 75kg event.

Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Punam Yadav lifted 97kg in the snatch and 120kg in the clean and jerk section for a combined score of 217kg, which saw her win the silver medal in the senior 69kg competition.

In the senior men's 94kg category, Vikas Thakur won the bronze medal by lifting 340kg overall.

Konjum Taba clinched the gold medal in the junior men's 94kg division by lifting 317kg.

India's sensational day was then complete when Anju Devi took silver in the girls' youth 75kg event after lifting 167kg.
