The Islamic Republic of Iran Taekwondo Federation held a national training camp for athletes competing at the upcoming World Taekwondo (WT) Grand Prix in London.

Fourteen taekwondo players took part in the camp in Tehran.

Included were five competitors who will compete at under-58 kilograms in London, Armin Hadipour, Farzan Ashoorzadeh, Ebrahim Safari, Hamidreza Hadian and Mohammad Kazemi.

Abolfazl Yaghoubi, Mirhashem Hosseini and Soroush Ahmadi will compete at under-68kg while Erfan Nazemi and Masoud Hajizavareh will enter the under-80kg event.

The squad is completed by Saeid Rajabi, Sajjad Mardani, Farshad Ghiasi and Ahmad Mohammadi, who will compete at over-80kg.

The team will be led at the third WT Grand Prix of the season by head coach Mahdi Bibak.

He will be joined by coach Alirezanasr Azadani and fitness coach Mehrdad Yousefi.

London's Copper Box Arena, which was a venue for the 2012 Olympic Games, will play host to this month's Grand Prix event.

Action is due to take place between October 20 and 22.
