Portugal's home hope António Marques, ranked fourth in the event, is scheduled to meet Russia’s Mikhail Gutnik.

The hosts could be on course for success in the BC2 competition, with three of their athletes having progressed from the group stage.

Top seed Abílio Valente won both of his pool matches to secure a meeting with Hasan Çakır of Turkey in the last 16.
