Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic hopefuls in freestyle skiing and snowboard will be among the participants at the Winter X-Games in Aspen, which get underway tomorrow.

The Olympic disciplines of ski and snowboard slopestyle and snowboard big air are among the events which will be staged at the Colorado resort in the United States.

In the men's ski slopestyle field, reigning Olympic champion Joss Christensen will be among the contenders for the US.

His compatriot McRae Williams, the current world and World Cup champion, is also down to compete.

France's women's world champion Tess Ledeux will compete in women's ski slopestyle.

Snowboard slopestyle sees American Olympic champion Jamie Anderson compete in the women's event, while the women's big air will include Austrian world champion Anna Gasser.

Norway's men's big air world champion Ståle Sandbech is also competing in Aspen.

Superpipe competitions will also be held with action continuing until Sunday (January 28).

Pyeongchang 2018 begins on February 9 in South Korea.
