Verdicts in the cases of 32 Russian athletes whose appeals were heard by the Ad Hoc division of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) today will not be given until tomorrow after the hearing was adjourned.

The hearing will reconvene at 12pm tomorrow.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has been granted a deadline until 9am tomorrow here to file written submissions.

The hearing tomorrow will also consider 15 additional cases filed today.

The Panel's decisions are expected to be announced either late in the evening of February 8, 2018 or in the morning of February 9, 2018.

All 32 athletes have been banned from the neutral "Olympic Athletes from Russia" team at Pyeongchang 2018 despite not having been named in connection with doping at Sochi 2014.

It is thought that they are implicated elsewhere in the McLaren Report and from information obtained via the Moscow Laboratory Information Management System database.

The other 15 Russians - 13 who hope to compete as athletes here and two who are now coaches - were all cleared of doping by CAS in Geneva last week having originally been stripped of their results from Sochi 2014 and banned for life by the IOC's Oswald Commission.

They include cross-country ski gold medalist Alexander Legkov and skeleton gold medalist Alexander Tretiakov, as well as speed skating silver medalist Olga Fatkulina.

The Panel hearing all 47 athletes is chaired by Switzerland's Bernhard Welten and also includes Carol Roberts from Canada and Australia's Zali Steggall.
