Goberville found herself in a battle with two Serbian shooters throughout the duration of the event at the Audi Arena.

One of those Serbians was defending champion Zorana Arunović, who continued to trade the lead with Goverville.

Bobana Momcilovic Velickovic tried to keep pace with the two leaders but was left to settle for bronze after being eliminated third on a score of 219 points.

The battle between Goberville and Arunović went down to the final shot where they achieved scores of 19.3 and 18.9 points respectively.

It ensured Goberville took the title from Arunović as she finished with a total of 240.2 points, compared to Arunović’s 239.8.

"The final included deep pressure and it was very tight," said Goverville.

"I could handle anyway the pressure well and it was a good final for me.

"Feelings are incredible now and I was nearly to lose my faith but some way I collected my emotions and stayed calm.

"That was ever so hard final."

The men’s 10m air pistol title was earned by Turkey’s Yusuf Dikeç, who finished the final on a score of 241.6 points.

He was followed by Russia’s Artem Chernousov and Portugal’s Joao Costa after they ended on 239.8 and 218.8 points respectively.

The mixed team air rifle title was claimed by Russia on a score of 498.3 points, with Serbia and Ukraine following on 495.0 and 431.9 respectively.

The Championships are due to conclude tomorrow.
