Athletes on the International Gymnastics Federation Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup circuit are set to resume their respective seasons when the campaign resumes in Tashkent this weekend.

A total of 25 athletes spanning 14 countries have entered the event at the Gymnastics Sport Palace in the Uzbek capital.

Qualification is scheduled to take place tomorrow, with finals due to be held on Sunday (April 22).

Nastasya Generalova, fourth at the 2017 United States National Championships, is among the small field for the competition.

Bulgaria and Russia dominated the opening event of the season in Sofia earlier this month, winning six of the eight gold medals on offer.

Those who have opted to compete will have the chance to fine-tune their preparations for this year's World Championships in Sofia from September 10 to 16.

The number of entrants is less than half the number who participated in second World Cup of the season in the Bulgarian capital, which ran from March 30 to 31.
