Marti Pozzi ensured home fans went home happy with victory in the men's bodybuilding overall competition on day three of the European Fitness and Bodybuilding Championships in the Spanish resort of Santa Susanna.

Pozzi reached the grand final by winning the over-100 kilogram category thanks to a score of 17, beating off his nearest rival, Fabio Romagnolo of Italy, by 20 points.

The Spaniard then kept up this excellent form at the Florida Park Hotel by earning a score of seven in the grand final.

This total was enough to see off competition from Italy's Andrea Bolzoni and fellow Spaniard Pablo Llopis, who claimed silver and bronze with points totals of eight and seven respectively.
