Harrie Smolders lived-up to his world number one ranking with a superb victory at the Longines Global Champions Tour leg in Hamburg today.

The Dutchman dominant the jump-off on Zangersheide-sire at the Derby-Park Klein Flottbeck.

His time of 37.97sec was far too swift for the other six riders who reached the decisive jumpoff.

Maurice Tebbel and Chaccos' Son recorded the second fastest time of 39.14 to lead the home charge in Germany.

Martin Fuchs and Chaplin of Switzerland completed the top three in 37.69.
