Russia won the women's team title at the European Under-23 Wrestling Championships after two gold medals on the final day of female action in Istanbul.

Alexandra Andreeva first beat Ukraine's Alina Akobiia in the 57 kilograms final in the Turkish city, with Hungary's Viktoria Vilhelm taking bronze.

The second Russian gold arrived at 65kg thanks to Mariia Kuznetsova's win over Sofiya Georgieva of Bulgaria.

Bronze went to home Turkish wrestler Asli Tugcu.

Other golds today went to Turkey, Ukraine and France.

Zeynep Yetgil was the home winner at 53kg after a win over Katsiaryna Pichkouskaya of Belarus.

Two bronzes were awarded, to France's Hilary Ysaline Honorine and Norway's Silje Knutsen Kippernes.

Ilona Prokopevniuk won the 62kg gold for Ukraine as she beat Russia's Tatiana Smoliak.

Kathrin Mathis of Austria and Kriszta Tunde of Romania both won bronze.

The French winner was Koumba Larroque who got the better of Belarus wrestler Anastasiya Zimiankova at 72kg.

Enrica Rinaldi of Italy and Alexandra Nicoleta of Romania both won bronze.

Russia won the team title on 161 points with Ukraine second on 151 and Turkey third on 123.

Two days of men's freestyle action will now conclude the event.
