Mexico's Diego Lopez and Elena Krawzow of Germany both broke world records on their way to victory on the final day of the World Para Swimming World Series finale at the Berlin Schwimm-und Sprunghalle Europasportpark.

Lopez clocked a time of 1min 32.83sec to beat Dutchman Marc Evers and Argentina's Matias de Andrade, who claimed silver and bronze medals respectively, in the final of the men's 100 metres backstroke S3.

Krawzow was also in record-breaking form as she competed in a women's 200m backstroke race where three world marks went by the wayside.

The German, a SB12 competitor, touched the wall in 2:46,24 to break the world record in her classification and take home the gold medal in the event.

Chantalle Zijderveld of The Netherlands, second in the race, clocked 2:47.65 to set an SB9 world record.

Britain's Louise Fiddes finished in 2:42.45 to break the world record in the SB14 classification.

Adam Ismael Wenham led home a Norwegian one-two in the men's 200m breaststroke final as he finished in front of compatriot Andreas Skar Bjørnstad.

Wenham earned a total of 829 points having completed the race in 2:32.95, with Bjørnstad second with a score of 804 points.

Uzbekistan's Firdavsbek Musabekov won the bronze medal.

Dutch swimmer Liesette Bruinsma took the women's 200m individual medley honours as the SM11 racer touched the wall in 2:51.59 to earn 925 points.

Bruinsma ended 47 points ahead of American Jessica Long, the multiple Paralympic and world champion who competes in the SM8 classification.

Long clocked 2:42.87, while Britain's Ellie Simmonds was third after stopping the clock at 3:10.26 to claim 868 points.
