Russia and Spain will meet in the final of the Women's Euro Beach Soccer Cup after picking up three wins between them on day two of action in Nazaré in Portugal.

Following an 8-6 win over Switzerland yesterday, Russia secured first place in Group B with a 6-2 victory over The Netherlands at the Estádio do Viveiro on Praia de Nazaré.

Anastasiia Gorshkova bagged a hat-trick to seal Russia’s triumph after Aleksandra Samorodova, Natalia Zaitseva and Elena Ivashkina had all scored one goal apiece.

Spain, meanwhile, won their two Group A matches today to top the standings.

They started the day by thrashing Czech Republic 8-0 before beating defending champions England 4-0.

Alba Mellado Martinez and Andrea Miron Castro each scored a hat-trick against Czech Republic and Natalia de Francisco Gomez notched a brace.

Miron Castro was also on target against England along with Ana Pascual Ramirez, Carla Lamora and Lorena Asensio.

Today’s one other game saw Switzerland edge The Netherlands 3-2 in Group B to ensure a second-place finish.

Prior to tomorrow’s final between Russia and Spain, England will face Switzerland in the third-place play-off.

That will be preceded by the fifth-place play-off, featuring Czech Republic and The Netherlands.
