China's domination at the 22nd International Swimming Federation (FINA) World Junior Diving Championships was maintained in Kyiv today as they took gold and silver in both finals on the sixth day of an event due to finish on Sunday (July 29).

Rui Zhang won the girls' A-class platform title, totalling 488.70 points to finish ahead of compatriot Lin Shan, A-class 3m springboard gold medallist earlier in the week, who scored 453.20.

Russia's Iana Satina earned bronze with a score of 425.90, finishing ahead of Germany's Elena Wassen, who totalled 416.65.

In the boys' B-class 3m final there was another Chinese 1-2 as Daoyi Long - previous winner in the B-class 1m springboard event - took gold with 474.90 points over compatriot Zelin Yao, who totalled 464.60.

Canada's Cedric Fofana took bronze with 459.05, finishing just 0.45 in front of Mexico's Osmar Ibarra.

China now has nine golds, eight silvers and a bronze in all after six days of competition at the Liko Sports Centre.

A total of 42 different nations are represented at the competition, which offers 17 different titles in what is the official qualifying event for the Youth Olympic Games.
