The shortlist for September's Allianz Athlete of the Month award has been announced by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).

Chinese powerlifter Lingling Guo has been nominated after breaking the women's up to 45 kilograms world record three times at the Asia-Oceania Open Championships in Kitakyushu, Japan. 

Joining her on the shortlist is Dane Stinna Tange Kaastrup, who won two gold medals at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, USA.

Corne de Koning of The Netherlands is nominated after winning two boat classes at the 2018 World Rowing Championships in Plovdiv in Bulgaria. 

Swiss wheelchair record Manuela Schaer is shortlisted for smashing the world record at the Berlin Marathon. 

Lauren Steadman of Great Britain, who won the women's PTS5 Para-triathlon world title in Gold Coast and is now competing on television show Strictly Come Dancing, also made it onto the shortlist. 

The nominations are decided after submissions by National Paralympic Committees and International Federation and the overall winner will be determined by a public vote on the IPC website here.

August's Athlete of the Month winner was Greg Polychronidis from Greece, who won two golds at the 2018 World Boccia Championships.
