Belgium’s Gudrun Patteet rode Sea Coast Pebbles Z to victory at the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) Longines Jumping World Cup Western European League in Helsinki.

The second leg of the series took place at Helsinki jäähalli which culminated in a 10-horse jump off.

The top three riders were within half-a-second of each other and all rode clean runs in the final.

Patteet’s winning time of 39.30sec put her ahead of Germany’s Hans-Dieter Dreher in second with a time of 39.47 riding Embassy II.

Third place went to Sweden’s Peder Fredricson on Hansson WI posting a time of 39.51.

"He’s not normal, he’s very complicated and very, very hot, but he’s so brave and very talented," Patteet said of Sea Coast Pebbles Z.

"I’m really happy for him, he was super today!"

Following the victory, Patteet goes into second place on the Western European League standings behind Dreher, the winner in the opening leg last week in Oslo.

The third leg of the series is due to take place next Sunday (October 28) in Verona in Italy.
