Australia and India registered their second wins at the International Cricket Council Women's World T20 tournament as competition continued in the West Indies.

Australia currently top Group B of the event as they defeated Ireland by nine wickets at Guyana's Providence Stadium today.

Ireland chose to bat first but Australia's disciplined bowling held them to 93-6.

Laura Delany and Kim Garth helped Ireland to their total after a 41-run partnership.

As the teams swapped places, Australia's Alyssa Healy upped the momentum with a half century off just 21 balls – the fastest in all Women's World T20 tournaments.

After losing Beth Mooney, Australia needed just 9.1 overs to chase the Irish score and take the victory with the loss of just one wicket.

With four points, the three-time champions top Group B with a better run rate over India.

India also continued their perfect start to the tournament with a victory over Pakistan.

Despite making their highest total in the tournament ever, Pakistan lost to a dominant Indian side by seven wickets.

Pakistan took to the stumps first and made two 50s as India's fielding faltered.

Bismah Maroof scored 53 runs from 49 balls as Nida Dar added 52 from 35 balls to Pakistan's total.

Fumbles cost India five chances but a strong finish saw them keep the opposition to 133-7.

Pakistan mistakes led to India having a 10-0 opening to their batting as Pakistan were penalised twice for running on the protected area of the pitch.

Indian star Mithali Raj scored 56 off 47 balls as her partnership with Smriti Mandhana added 73 for the first wicket in 9.3 overs.
