Having reached the final in France for the loss of just three sets, the 22-year-old dispatched American teenage sensation Casey Kaufhold 6-2 at the Parc des Expositions.

Despite being up against such strong opposition, 14-year-old Kaufhold may have found the fashion of the loss disappointing having already won once on the Indoor World Series this season.

In an all South-Korean bronze medal match the prize went to second seed Sim Yeji, who saw off Jin Yun by an even more comfortable 7-1 margin.

South Korea also had an archer in the women’s compound final but So Chaewon fell to Germany’s Janine Meissner 149-144.

The South Korean third seed was simply out shot today and trailed from start to finish.

On the men’s side an all-American compound final was won by Braden Gellenthien.

The 32-year-old three-time team world champion again led from the start and eventually sealed victory by just one point, winning 145-144.

Dutchman Mike Schloesser won bronze with a 147-145 win over Stephan Hansen from Denmark in the third-place play-off.

South Korea picked up their second gold of the day through Lee Seung-yun in the men’s recurve.

The 2013 world archery champion, seeded third in this competition, took the title with a 6-2 win over Ukraine’s Sergii Makarevych.

An all South Korean bronze medal match was won by Oh Jin Hyek, who beat Han Jaeyeop 6-4.

With the season now coming to an end, the last event – which will also feature the World Series Finals - will go ahead in Las Vegas on February 8 and 9.
