Daviet took gold in today's men's individual standing biathlon event, winning in 42min 22.2sec. 

It was his fifth gold medal of the competition, having already triumphed in the standing cross-country sprint, middle distance cross-country, middle distance biathlon and biathlon sprint races. 

"For sure I wasn't expecting to win five gold medals," he said.

"It was a nice day for me, and it's been a nice week."

Canada's Mark Arendz finished second on home snow in 42:50.4, while Ukrainian Grygorii Vovchynskyi was third in 44:26.1. 

Kendall Gretsch of the United States finally ended the dominance of her compatriot Oksana Masters in the women's sitting disciplines. 

Gretsch had previously won three silver medals, always finishing second to Masters, but today won the individual race in 47:29.4.

Masters was second in 49:31.6, while Germany's Andrea Eskau took bronze in 52:13.7.

Clara Klug of Germany secured her third gold of the competition, recording a time of 43:44.1 in the women's individual visually impaired biathlon race to do so.

Oksana Shyshkova of Ukraine was in second place with 44:08.8, while Germany's Johanna Recktenwald was in third with 50:58.3.

Ukrainian skiers took three gold medals in today's races, with Taras Rad winning the men's individual sitting biathlon in 51:57.8. 

Silver went to Martin Fleig of Germany in 54:03.5, while Rad's compatriot Vasyl Kravchuk was given bronze after finishing in 54:05.6.

Liudmyla Liashenko then claimed Ukraine's second gold of the day, triumphing in the women's individual standing biathlon with a time of 41:09.2.

The rest of the podium was also dominated by Ukrainian athletes, with Oleksandra Kononova in second with 42:42.5 and Yuliia Batenkova-Bauman in third with 45:46.2.

Vitaliy Lukyanenko won Ukraine's third title in the men's individual visually impaired final with a time of 44:46.4.

Fellow Ukrainian Iaroslav Reshetynskyi was in third place in 45:50.1, while Yury Holub of Belarus completed the podium in second place with 44:56.4.
