Peru's divers Ana Ricci, Jesús Liranzo, Facundo Meza and Adrián Infante all excelled at a qualifying event held for the Lima 2019 Pan American Games, set to start on July 26.

The competition organised by the Peruvian Swimming Federation (PSF) in Jesús María saw "dozens" of athletes take part.

Among the star performances was Ricci, who scored 212.7 points in the women's one metre springboard competition.

According to a statement on the Lima 2019 website, the PSF will now pick their team for their home Pan American Games "in the coming days".

When the diving competition gets underway at Lima 2019, it will take place at the new Aquatics Centre on the VIDENA National Sports Complex in Peru.

The venue is not yet completed, but in an interview with insidethegames earlier this week, Lima 2019 President Carlos Neuhaus expressed confidence it would be completed by April.

The diving competition will take place between August 1 and 5 with 10 gold medals up for grabs.
